Because tours and treks are distinct experiences, we divide them into separate categories. Very simply put, a trek involves at least one night of tent camping and requires, at minimum, good physical fitness. Tours include overnight in hotels and can be planned to accommodate any level of fitness.
The tours that Ayni Peru offers can be highly personalized, including any category of accommodation and budget. Our tours are superior because of the range of activities and destinations we are able to offer. From religious festivals to Andean stargazing to culinary tours and unforgettable day hikes to remote communities, Ayni Peru has something for everyone. We work with clients to create their perfect itinerary, and can accommodate almost any request.
Ayni Peru operates a multitude of trek routes, including many offered nowhere else. In addition to classic routes such as the Inca Trail and the Rainbow Mountain, we are the only operator to visit the Quelccaya Ice Cap, the Inca fortress of Wakra Pukara, and multiple routes in the Ausangate and Vinicunca area. Our treks range in difficulty from moderate to challenging, and from two to 12 days in length. Ayni Peru includes all required equipment and supplies, with the option to include comfort upgrades.
Our tours and treks can always be combined to create a varied itinerary. In fact, we encourage our active clients to do so. A homestay with a local family is also a highly recommended option, as it offers the opportunity to experience the culture of a country and community profoundly. Whether it is a tour, trek or a combination of the two, Ayni Peru operates in a socially and environmentally sustainable manner. We look forward to helping you plan your South American adventure!
